1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Demon Deli mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Demon Deli ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Demon Deli is a daily mythology and reflection application. Each day, the Service presents you with an entity drawn from world mythological traditions — a demon, deity, or mythological figure — together with a reading, a set of reflective questions, a ritual suggestion, and compatibility insights shared with connected friends.

The content generated by the Service is produced using artificial intelligence and is intended solely for entertainment, personal reflection, and creative engagement with mythological traditions. It does not constitute psychological, therapeutic, medical, financial, legal, or spiritual advice of any kind. The entities and readings presented are fictional and symbolic reinterpretations of mythological source material, not theological or religious claims.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

The Service is currently available in limited access. We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access for any user at any time for any reason.

4. Your Account

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorisation, impersonate any person or entity, or provide false information during the account creation process.

Your display name is derived automatically from the name provided by your authentication provider. It is visible to other users of the Service who connect with you as friends.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any systems connected to the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from the Service without our express written consent.
• Use the Service to transmit unsolicited commercial communications or harassment.
• Circumvent any security or access control measures.
• Use the Service in connection with any commercial activity without our prior written consent.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including but not limited to text, readings, entity descriptions, sigil graphics, UI design, and the underlying software — is owned by or licensed to Demon Deli and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The mythological traditions and figures referenced in the Service belong to the public domain or to their respective cultural traditions. Our specific creative treatment, writing, and presentation of these figures are original works and remain our intellectual property.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content on the Service.

7. The Friend and Compatibility System

The Service includes a social feature that allows you to connect with other users as friends and receive daily compatibility readings based on the entities that visit each of you. By connecting with another user, you consent to sharing your display name, archetype profile, and daily entity with that user. Compatibility readings generated between you and a friend are visible to both of you.

You may disconnect from a friend at any time. Upon disconnection, compatibility readings are no longer generated between you. Previously generated readings may be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the conduct of other users of the Service. Any disputes between users are the sole responsibility of those users.

8. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, you consent to receiving notifications from the Service on your device. You may withdraw this consent at any time through your device settings. We use push notifications solely to notify you when your daily reading is available and for other Service-related communications you have opted into.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content generated by the Service, including readings, compatibility assessments, or archetype profiles.

The content produced by Demon Deli is generated using artificial intelligence and is intended for entertainment and personal reflection only. It should not be used as a substitute for professional advice of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Demon Deli and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Demon Deli and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Berlin, Germany.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force and effect.
